Reston Va (April 2nd) Flatoutracing's Jon Kofod will be contesting the third round of the SCCA Mid Atlantic Road Race Series Championship at Summit Point as part of the two-car team of FunktionAuto in three weeks time. Kofod and FunktionAuto owner Walid Achi, will be entering both Radical SR3's in the C Racer Sport Class.

Achi, founder and president of FunktionAuto (www.funktionauto.com) previewed the debut of the Radical SR3 by taking his first class win and 6th place overall at the 1st round of the MARRS Championship at Summit Point back on April 23rd.

Kofod, the 2004 NASA Honda Challenge H4 champion, had previously done testing and development work for FunktionAuto throughout the second half of the 2004 season at Summit Point with both SR3's and has extensive experience in Spec Racer Ford series and Formula Dodge.

The two-car team will be competing in Group 3 at the third round with Formula Atlantic, Formula Continental, Formula Ford, Formula Mazda and D Sports Racer classes.
