For the fifth straight year the Flatoutracing.net team and Principle driver Jon Kofod have renewed their relationship with Hankook Tires USA and their racing division Hankook Motorsports in their quest for the team’s fifth straight road racing title and Kofod’s fourth individual title in five years. For the past four years Hankook Motorsports has been the team’s primary sponsor and the relationship has netted over 30 plus wins and four titles for the Flatoutracing.net team. Principle driver Kofod won both the 2004 and 2005 Honda Challenge H4 titles and the 2007 SCCA Mid Atlantic Road Racing ITS title. Driver Andrew Zimmermann won the 2006 Honda Challenge H4 Championship.

Flatoutracing.net and Kofod will defend their 2007 ITS title again in 2008. The past two seasons Kofod has competed on Hankook Motorsport’s Ventus Z214 race tires with outstanding results, garnering multiple race wins, pole positions and fastest laps. 

“Last season we proved again that Hankook is at the front of motorsports technology with their Ventus Z214 tire. Last season’s C51 compound was another step forward and showed that not only did we have the fastest tire on the grid but that we the Ventus Z214 could outlast the competition over the course of each race.”

The 2008 SCCA Mid Atlantic Road Racing season will kick off at Summit Point Motorsports Park on April 26th.
