We start the 2008 season fresh off another successful racing season with the Flatoutracing.net/Hankook Tires team wrapping up its fourth straight title. Principle driver Jon Kofod wrapped up his own third title winning the SCCA Mid Atlantic Road Racing title. Kofod stepped up a class to the faster ITS category and despite missing the first three races of the season was able to score 3 wins and 4 pole positions in winning the title. Kofod will return for the full 2008 campaign in ITS in hopes of securing a second SCCA title and his fourth in five seasons.

In addition Flatoutracing.net will be teaming up with the successful Team GTi/PhilsTireService.com endurance team for the second year of the annual “12 Hours at the Point” endurance race at Summit Point Raceway. Kofod won the race in 2005 and placed second last year with Team GTi. The 2008 season also continues our relationship with principle sponsors Hankook Motorsports and Curry’s Auto Service.
