We start 2009 off with a look back at the culmination of an incredible five year run which saw the Flatoutracing.net team win its fifth straight team title and principle driver Jon Kofod’s fourth championship in five years. While not as dominant as in years past, Kofod and team still secured their second straight SCCA Mid Atlantic Road Racing title in ITS in 2008. In addition Kofod earned his second SCCA 12 Hour Endurance title in June with the Team GTi/PhilsTireService.com endurance team winning the 12 hour race at Summit Point. Overall, Kofod and team have won over 30 races, sat on pole 28 times, and won numerous titles, track records and awards since the team was formed in 2004.

For 2009 we are stepping back from full time racing due to both economic and personal reasons. The Flatoutracing.net team and Jon Kofod will however, run a limited schedule in 2009 with plans to compete and defend their 12 Hour endurance title at Summit Point in June and also the 13 Hours of VIR in late fall.
